More than 600 million children in the world live in extreme poverty. These children are very likely to become malnourished, get sick, or resort to dangerous and exploitative conditions and influences. The chances of them completing school are diminished. At Serving the Needy Welfare Foundation, we recognize that children, families, communities need to be lifted out of the poverty crisis. When unemployment and inflation levels are so high and where the skills levels are a challenge, it becomes very difficult for families to provide the basics needed for survival. Under these conditions, children, who are meant to be our future leaders, suffer the most . Our Organisation serves to lighten the burden on these deprived households and communities. Serving the Needy Welfare Foundation is a non-profit Organisation aimed at alleviating poverty through serving the poor , needy and underprivileged citizens of South Africa . In particular our aim is to ease the plight and suffering of children from disadvantaged homes and communities. The Nutrition programme is one of the key programmes of the government of South Africa . Serving the Needy intends to make an integral contribution to supporting the National Nutrition Program as a responsible community based Organisation.
